Musings of a Meditating Mind
May 10, 2016Reducing Stress for Busy Professionals via Deep Relaxation
June 14, 2016There have been many scientific studies done proving the power of prayer. Studies have shown prayer can
Typically, we think of prayer as asking someone out there, a God, a Prophet, a Guru, for something that your heart or mind desires. I am not religious but have a deep faith and trust in a higher power, a Creator and Source Energy. However, my view on where the real power of prayer comes from is slightly different.
If you are familiar with the Law of Attraction or Vibration, then you know that everything in the Universe is Energy, and different emotions have different vibration frequencies. Love, Joy, Trust, Faith are all higher vibration feelings while fear, anxiety, stress and anger are all lower vibration feelings. The universe reflects to us what we send out. When we feel love within, we are bound to receive it from the outside as well. The higher the vibration energy of the thought forms we have the better the externalities of our life.
When we sit in prayer, we sit in gratitude, love and deep faith We offer a few lines or more spoken with utmost reverence. We sit in a space, where we allow ourselves to be somewhat Vulnerable and not pretend that we have all the answers. These words when spoken with the high vibration emotions of love, humility, trust and faith that back them, are so powerful and It makes perfect sense that prayer helps manifest our desires.
How can words that our spoken or thought with such deep reverence not bring positive results?
The God, or whoever our object of faith might be, is a symbol of our own divinity. When we give them respect, we give ourselves respect because we acknowledge us as being part, or an extension of that same thing that is the object of our deep love and reverence. When we love them, we love ourselves. When we have faith in them, we have faith in ourselves. And this ends up becoming a two-way process.
The more faith we have in God, the more faith we have in ourselves. The more faith we have in ourselves, the more faith we have in a God whatever form that might take. In fact, our relationship to God, is quite often our relationship with ourselves.
Dont have a relationship with a Higher Power? Think again about your Relationship with yourself. Do you have one? What kind of relationship is that? Is it loving, is it respectful, is it one filled with beauty, joy and Grace? If it is then you are on the right track!
And in complete reverence to the divinity that inspires my writing, a prayer
“Thank you Divine Director, for all the love, the joy, the peace, the abundance you bring to my life. I am blessed and know that I am truly loved, taken care of and worthy of the limitlessness of all your blessings. Amen.”
